The NHS Retirement Fellowship Carmarthen is inviting NHS retirees and their families to a free demonstration of sea and course fish painting by the world renowned artist David Miller.

David, based near St Clears, is a keen angler, diver and bird-watcher, and specialises in paintings of game, sea and coarse fish underwater – those who fish will have already seen images of his paintings on their rod licence.

The session, hosted by the NHS Retirement Fellowship, is free of charge and will show the various oil painting techniques David uses to construct his paintings.

The NHS Retirement fellowship are a group of people who, having retired from the NHS, meet to socialise and share interests and activities.

The session is being supported by the Cryfhau Cymunedau (Strengthening Communities), part of RDP Sir Gâr’s Innovative Hubs project, who have paid for the venue. Cryfhau Cymunedau is funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007 – 2013 which is funded by the Welsh Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Cryfhau Cymunedau can assist community groups and individuals by arranging meetings, consultation events, awareness sessions, skills and capacity building workshops and seminars.
