Rob James, Deputy Leader of Carmarthenshire Labour stated, “As the local Councillor for Lliedi, home to the wonderful Parc Howard, I welcome the decision of the Labour Group in Llanelli Town Council to negotiate with Carmarthenshire County Council over the future ownership of Parc Howard.
“It is clear from the number of emails and telephone calls I receive from local residents on a regular basis that the park is incredibly important to adults and children alike, and it is imperative that the ongoing debate over the future direction of Parc Howard be settled.
“Whilst I await for more details to emerge from the negotiations, I wholeheartedly support the principle of returning the ownership of the park to the people of Llanelli and Town Councillors have my full support with this endeavour.
