Budget consultation on the move thanks to Rolling Zone

Neath Port Talbot Council’s consultation on its draft budget proposals is physically moving around the county borough this year thanks to the Rolling Zone.

A feedback box and forms will be available on the Rolling Zone bus for the duration of the consultation, up to and including Monday 15th January 2018.

Cllr Peter Rees, Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture and Cllr Carol Clement-Williams, Cabinet Member for Finance said: “The rolling zone provides an excellent opportunity of engaging young people on Council Draft Budget for 2018/19 and supporting young people on employment topics and youth activities.

“Budget consultation feedback boxes are already available in public buildings across the county borough, but a presence on the Rolling Zone provides an opportunity to make the consultation accessible to even more people. It will also help us to engage with young people aged 16-25 and encourage them to have their say on the budget setting process.

“It is important that any final decisions are as informed about the needs of Neath Port Talbot as possible and I would urge everyone to give their views on the draft proposals.”

The customised Rolling Zone bus has proved successful in providing support and advice to help young people into employment and as a mobile youth zone for the county borough.

It is fully equipped with laptops and internet so that workers can provide assistance to young people who need employment support and guidance.

The Rolling Zone can be found every Tuesday at:

ALDI – Port Talbot, Taibach between 9.30am – 12.30pm

Civic Centre Square, Port Talbot between 1.00pm – 4.00pm

More information on the proposals and an online feedback facility can be found at www.npt.gov.uk/budget.

Ymgynghoriad ar y gyllideb ar grwydr diolch i’r Rolling Zone

Mae ymgynghoriad Cyngor Castell-nedd Port Talbot ar ei gynigion cyllidebol drafft yn symud o gwmpas y fwrdeistref sirol yn ffisegol eleni diolch i’r Rolling Zone.

Bydd blwch a ffurflenni adborth ar gael ar fws y Rolling Zone drwy gydol y cyfnod ymgynghori, hyd at ddydd Llun 15 Ionawr 2018.

Meddai’r Cyng. Peter Rees, Aelod y Cabinet dros Addysg, Sgiliau a Diwylliant, a’r Cyng. Carol Clement-Williams, Aelod y Cabinet dros Gyllid, “Mae’r Rolling Zone yn rhoi cyfle ardderchog i drafod Cyllideb Ddrafft y cyngor ar gyfer 2018/19 â phobl ifanc a’u cefnogi gyda phynciau cyflogaeth a gweithgareddau ieuenctid.

“Mae blychau adborth ar yr ymgynghoriad cyllidebol eisoes ar gael mewn adeiladau cyhoeddus ar draws y fwrdeistref sirol, ond mae eu cynnwys ar y Rolling Zone yn rhoi cyfle i wneud yr ymgynghoriad yn hygyrch i hyd yn oed mwy o bobl. Bydd yn ein helpu hefyd i gynnwys pobl ifanc rhwng 16 a 25 oed a’u hannog i ddweud eu dweud ar y broses o bennu’r gyllideb.

“Mae’n bwysig bod unrhyw benderfyniadau terfynol mor gytbwys â phosib o ran anghenion Castell-nedd Port Talbot a byddwn yn annog pawb i fynegi eu barn ar y cynigion drafft.”

Mae’r bws Rolling Zone pwrpasol wedi profi’n llwyddiannus wrth roi cefnogaeth a chyngor i helpu pobl i gael cyflogaeth ac fel parth ieuenctid symudol i’r fwrdeistref sirol.

Mae’n llawn offer megis gliniaduron a’r rhyngrwyd er mwyn i weithwyr allu cynorthwyo pobl ifanc y mae angen cefnogaeth ac arweiniad arnynt o ran cyflogaeth.

Bydd y Rolling Zone ar gael bob dydd Mawrth yn:
