Canolfan Peniarth presents ‘Cyw’ resources to Cylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen

Thursday 18th of January at 10am a representative from Canolfan Peniarth will visit Cylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen to deliver a ‘Cyw’ Resources pack worth over £100 to the Cylch (Welsh-medium playgroup) for winning a national competition conducted by Mudiad Meithrin over the 2017 Autumn period.

 

During the last week of October, Mudiad Meithrin conducted a fundraising campaign called “Rhywbeth neis, neis i de” (Something nice, nice for tea), by encouraging staff, the cylchoedd volunteers and the provisions of the Mudiad to hold an afternoon tea to raise money for their local Cylch or toMudiad Meithrin as a national charity.

 

A number of competitions were organised to promote the campaign and one was to create anexhibitionon the theme to showcase the activities held at the Cylch Meithrin. The winner of the national competition sponsored by Canolfan Peniarth, was Cylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen in Pembrokeshire.

 

Jill Lewis, Pembrokeshire Support Officer said

“Thank you very much to Canolfan Peniarth for being so willing to offer a prize like this to the Cylchoedd. We are very pleased that Cylch Ffynnonwen has managed to win this national competition. I’m sure that the children will look forward to playing with all of the new resources at the cylch.”

 

Small ovens were given to the winner in each region (4 in total). The winners in each region were: and one main prize to the national winner.

 

North East – Cylch Meithrin Drenewydd

North West – Cylch Meithrin Bethel

South West – Cylch Meithrin Penparc

South East – Cylch Meithrin Pontypool

 

As well as presenting this wonderful prize to Cylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen, Dewin (Mudiad Meithrin’s lovable character) will also present the Cylch with a Silver standard certificate as part of Mudiad Meithrin’s quality accreditation scheme called ‘Safonau Serennog’.

 

The aim of the ‘Rhywbeth neis, neis i de’ campaign was to hold afternoon teas events across Wales in order to bring the local community together to have fun, underline the importance of fundraising to the cylchoedd and to celebratea Welsh tradition. Held during Thanksgiving it was also an opportunity to thank Mudiad Meithrin for giving the best start to the local children when starting on their educational and linguistic journey.

Dydd Iau 18fed o Ionawr am 10ybbydd cynrychiolydd o Ganolfan Peniarth yn ymweld â Chylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen i gyflwyno ‘Pecyn Cyw’ gwerth dros £100i’r Cylch am ddod yn fuddugol yng nghystadleuaeth genedlaethol a gynhaliwyd gan Mudiad Meithrin dros gyfnod yr hydref 2017.

 

Yn ystod wythnos olaf mis Hydref, fe gynhaliodd Mudiad Meithrin ymgyrch codi arian o’r           enw “Rhywbeth Neis, Neis i De”, gan annog staff a gwirfoddolwr cylchoedd a        darpariaethau’r Mudiad i gynnal te prynhawn er mwyn codi arian i’w cylch lleol neu i’r    Mudiad fel elusen genedlaethol.      Fe drefnwyd nifer o gystadlaethau i ddenu sylw at yr ymgyrch hon ac un ohonynt oedd      cystadleuaeth arddangosfa ‘Rhywbeth neis, neis i de’ a oedd yn dangos gweithgaredd             gorau ar y thema a gynhaliwyd yn y cylchoedd meithrin. Enillydd y brif wobr genedlaethol a     noddwyd gan Ganolfan Peniarth, oedd Cylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen yn sir Benfro.

“Diolch yn fawr iawn i Canolfan Peniarth am fod mor barod i gynnig gwobr fel hyn i’r Cylchoedd. Rydym yn falch iawn bod Cylch Ffynnonwen wedi llwyddo i ddod yn fuddugol yn y gystadleuaeth genedlaethol yma. Dwi’n siŵr bod y plant yn edrych ymlaen at gael chwarae yn y Cylch gyda’r holl adnoddau newydd yma.”

 

 

Roedd gwobr – ffwrn fach i enillydd ym mhob talaith (4 i gyd) hefyd a’r enillwyr yn y taleithiau oedd: ac un prif wobr i’r enillydd cenedlaethol.

Yn ogystal â chyflwyno’r wobr arbennig yma i’r Cylch bydd Dewin (cymeriad hoffus y Mudiad) yn cyflwyno tystysgrif safon Arian, Safonau Serennog Mudiad Meithrin i Gylch Meithrin Ffynnonwen hefyd.

 

Nod ymgyrch ‘Rhywbeth Neis, Neis i De’ oedd cynnal ddigwyddiadau te prynhawn ar   draws Cymru er mwyn dod â’r gymuned leol at ei gilydd i gael hwyl, tanlinellu pwysigrwydd    codi arian i’r cylch a dathlu’n Cymreictod. Roedd yn gyfle hefyd i ddiolch i Mudiad Meithrin    yn lleol am roi’r cychwyn gorau i daith addysgol ac ieithyddol plant yr ardal ar gyfnod       Diolchgarwch.
