NORTHERN IRELAND RANKED THE MOST LOVING REGION IN THE UK:

WHERE DOES YOUR REGION RANK?

Northern Ireland has been ranked the most loving region in the UK, with residents telling their partner they love them more frequently than in any other region, and giving Valentine’s gifts to their friends or family members just to show they care.

This is according to flower delivery company Bloom & Wild [1], who surveyed residents across the UK to uncover the most and least loving regions in the nation. In perfect timing for Valentine’s Day, the results revealed the areas where people most enjoy expressing love, and disclosed exactly how they do so. The survey findings have been illustrated in a stylish map and blog post found at the bottom of Bloom & Wild’s inspirational guide to Valentine’s [2], with highlights including:

* Almost 50% of people in Northern Ireland say ‘I love you’ to their partner  multiple times every day

* 90% of people in the South East and East Midlands enjoy expressing love

* 93% of people in the North West wish they could spend more time with their loved ones

* People aged 25-34 are the most eager to receive flowers for Valentine’s Day

On the other end of the spectrum, Scotland was revealed to be the least loving region in the UK. Scots are the least likely to celebrate Valentine’s Day, _and _they are among the least comfortable expressing love. The survey results revealed the following:

* Only 58% of people in the UK tell their partner they love them once a week or more

* People aged 65+ enjoy expressing love the least

Here’s the ranking of the most loving regions in the UK:

* Northern Ireland

* South East

* Wales

* West Midlands

* South West

* London

* North East

* East Midlands

* North West

* Yorkshire and the Humber

* East Anglia

Jim Warren, Marketing Director at Bloom & Wild, says: ”While flowers for Valentine’s Day may not be an original idea, the kind of flowers you send really ought to be spectacularly original and creative. Whether it’s classic red roses for your sweetheart, or a wild bouquet of snapdragons and eucalyptus for your best friend, the gift you send on Valentine’s Day should reflect the recipient’s individuality as much as possible.”

“That’s where we come in. Bloom & Wild curate seasonal, gorgeous blooms that will make their day, wherever they are. We celebrate love in all its forms so be it your spouse, your best friend or a particularly brilliant parent, send some love this Valentine’s Day [2] with Bloom & Wild.”
