We‘ve trawled the internet looking for Llanelli Ghosts and have found the following sightings of a purported Ghost Ship off Cefn Sidan.
Aaron from Swansea saw a very strange ship at sea:
“Recently I went to a beach called Cefn Sidn. I had walked for a good while with my dog, Ben. The sun was beginning to set as I made my way back to the car, where I was supposed to meet my father.”
“I began to rush. The wind started to pick up. I looked out to sea when something caught my eye. There on the horizon was an old-looking ship. It had all the look of something out of Treasure Island, with its huge tattered sails.”
“I could hear something lightly playing on the breeze and Ben started to cower behind my legs. The ship gave off an eerie green glow and I ran up into the sand dunes because the ship was coming inland. The light was fading more and more every second, and Ben was right in front of me.”
“We made it back to the car park and I told my father what had happened. He just looked at me and said, “You’re turning into that kid next door with all your weird talk”. It was strange!

I was on Cefn Sidn one night jogging with two other mates and we had been jogging for about two hours just goin up and down the beach, and on the way back to the car we could hear music playing lightly and we looked around to see what it was and there was a huge galleon with tattered sails and it gave off a green glow.
It looked like it was doing battle so we sprinted to the car. We got about 10 metres away from the car and Rob collapsed so we had to carry him to the car and he was mumbling words like “Please no, please go away.” We were like 10 minutes from the beach and he woke up and he couldn’t remember a thing. He thought we were joking and he still doesn’t believe us to this day.

Me and my friends camped out on the beach in Cefn Sidan, whilst we were talking in the tent, we could hear footsteps coming near the tent. We were then scared and looked outside and saw nothing there. Later, say about 2am in the morning, we could hear a creaking noise like a old wooden door, when we looked out towards the sea, me and my friend noticed a object far out near the Gower like a pirate ship, with sails and everything, it then disappeared after two minutes.

Cefn Sidn also know as Pembrey Country Park has a seven mile costal beach and 5 mile forest and it also has a long history of ghostly sightings.
During the 16th and 17th century the coast line in and around Carmarthen Bay was prone to ship wreckers, these wrecker people would use lanterns to navigate merchant ships onto the rocks, so that they could steal their merchandise. If any survivors were found they were brutally murdered.
