Officers carry out drug warrants across the county

Police officers have been carrying out a series of drug warrants across the county and arrested several people for drug related offences.

In Carmel, a man was arrested on Tuesday 18th December suspicion of possession with intent to supply Cannabis. A search of his property revealed an underground basement with a complex hydroponics set up. He has since been charged with possession of cannabis and being concerned in the production of cannabis and appeared before magistrates on Wednesday 19th December.

Also on Tuesday 18th December a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act was carried out at Llys Caermedi, Carmarthen. A quantity of drugs believed to be ketamine and herbal cannabis was seized. A 19 year old local man has been arrested and is currently on police bail.

In Ammanford a warrant was executed in Teglan Park where a bag containing meow meow (mephedrone) was found. A 37 year old local man was given an adult caution for possession of the drug.

And in Cross Hands a warrant executed in High Street,Tumble resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Herbal Cannabis. A 26 year old local man was dealt with by a warning.
