“Our public sector staff here in Mid and West Wales work hard every day to provide vital services that our communities rely on, but what we have witnessed during these last few days has been extraordinary.

“Despite the challenges thrown at us by the adverse weather; staff, volunteers, and our communities, have risen to every challenge. The agencies of the Dyfed Powys Local Resilience Forum have taken a multi-agency coordinated approach to the situation, and worked together in the best interests to serve our communities.

“We are particularly proud to have seen staff find innovative solutions to problems and to have worked as one team across organisational boundaries to support each other. This has included assisting with travel and volunteering time and looking after the welfare of each other and our most vulnerable people. Our staff and communities should be rightly very proud. Thank you.”
