UK RENTS RISE: APRIL HOMELET RENTAL INDEX FIGURES
HOMELET’S Rental Index figures for April 2018 have been released.
The headlines from this month’s report are:
- The average rent in the UK is now £918, up by 1.5% on the same time last year
- When London is excluded, the average rent in the UK is now £761, up by 0.9% on last year
- Average rents in London are £1,588, up 4.5% on last year – the highest regional year-on-year increase identified in this month’s figures
- The region with the largest month-on-month increase was the North East, showing a 2.8% difference between March 2018 and April 2018
