Cetma is pleased to announce that it has received £2000 from the People’s Postcode Community Grant to help provide mental health support for Llanelli’s 16+ males.

YPMHS or Young people’s mental health support project will target young people in Llanelli and provide them with advice, guidance, support, a friendly ear and refer them if needed to other organisations for more support.

“We will have volunteers trained specifically in Counselling Children and Adolescents Course who will be able to provide some support to the area’s youngsters. We already have a Group set up for People suffering from Stress, Anxiety and Depression called the Llanelli Don’t Panic Group.” Said Jonathan Williams CETMA MD

“We are setting up a Football team to help combat mental health problems and fight stigma for 16 to 25 year olds.”

“You don’t need to be fit or able to play, the most important thing is to take part. Get out of the house for a bit, have a laugh and make new friends.”

The grant will be used to promote the help, advice and guidance, training up volunteers to help and working with a youth partnership to tackle bigger issues.

The team trains on Mondays at People’s Park Llanelli at 6pm. If anyone would like to join or volunteer on the team then please email info@cetma.org.uk or visit
