Dear Sir/Madam,

Plaid Cymru are happy that the Welsh Labour Government neglect Trawscymru services on the strategic 133 mile long T2/T1 Bangor to Carmarthen route where there is no connectivity going North from Carmarthen (waits of 46 minutes or 1 hour 46 minutes in Aberystwyth) and extremely poor connectivity in Aberystwyth going South (5 minutes connectivity which is wiped out by 5 minute delayed departures to the Aberystwyth T2 in Dolgellau to wait for late running T3 service from Wrexham) .

Plaid Cymru are happy that the strategic T2/T1 route has been abandoned, for the benefit of a small group of passengers (AM constituents of the Transport Minister in South Clwyd) on the 48 mile T3 route from Wrexham to Dolgellau.

Plaid Cymru, Ceredigion Council and Ceredigion Plaid Cymru AM Elin jones (Llwyd to the Welsh Assembly) are also failing to hold the Welsh Labour Government to account regarding a review of a T3 route from Wrexham to Aberystwyth commissioned by the Transport Minister, Ken Skates on 14/11/2017 in a letter to Ceredigion Councillor Alun Williams.

Elin Jones has achieved her objective (photo in the newspaper) to get a more comfortable coach with a toilet on the Aberystwyth to Cardiff T1C service, but is totally unconcerned that the service now only operates once per day instead of twice, is totally unconcerned that the T1C service cannot be used by passengers travelling South from Dolgellau on the T2 and is totally unconcerned that there is no service from Cardiff so that passengers wishing to travel to Bangor from Cardiff would have to either travel on 4 buses taking up to 12 hours or use the T1C return journey to Aberystwyth and travel on to Bangor the following day.

Elin Jones is happy that there is a comfortable coach to go Cardiff in the morning and return in the evening but is not concerned that the service is unusable in both North and South directions by passengers from North of Aberystwyth

The whole situation is a result of selfish actions by politicians, (particularly the Welsh Transport Minister) , who are in a position of power and can do what they please for their own benefit. The fair society promised by the Labour Government does not exist in Mid and West Wales.  I would appeal to all residents of Wales to look at this issue and ask themselves whether Mid and West Wales is being treated fairly even by its own politicians in Ceredigion.

yours sincerley

Dr John McTighe
