Family Fostering Partners are proud to be supporting the Llanelli LGBT Day 2018 on August the 4th. As a local independent fostering agency, we are always looking for ways to help the communities in which we work whilst also finding more foster families and foster homes for vulnerable children across Wales.
We specialise in recruiting and training foster carers, and according to the latest statistics from Fostering Network, Wales needs an additional 550 foster families to meet the demand for foster placements, and to offer looked after children a choice about where they live. Every child is unique, which is why we need all sorts of families and carers from different backgrounds, different cultures and different skills and experiences to offer safe and loving homes. These statistics mean that there are children in your local area who desperately need someone to care for them and to help them to reach their full potential.
Could you share your home, your knowledge and experience with them by becoming foster parents?
If you’ve considered becoming a foster parent, why not drop into the Llanelli LGBT Day for a quick chat? It will be a great day out and we will be more than happy to dispel some of the myths surrounding fostering, such as whether your sexuality is a barrier to fostering; whether you can be a single foster parent, or whether you need to be a home owner to foster.
