CELEBRATING OUR INVALUABLE VOLUNTEERS

This month we celebrate Volunteers’ Week and I’d like to take a moment to recognise the invaluable contribution of volunteers.

Did your readers know it is estimated that as many as 15.2 million people volunteer at least once a month in the UK? Over the years experience has taught us that there can be many different reasons for someone wanting to volunteer, but no matter the reason, volunteers are often united in a common goal – their desire to make a difference.

I work for Revitalise – an amazing national charity that provides respite holidays for disabled people and carers. We are also proud to run the largest residential volunteering programme of any UK charity, welcoming thousands of volunteers every year from all over the world.

Last year alone, our volunteers gave a total of over 3,000 weeks of their time to provide support to disabled people and carers enjoying respite holidays with our charity.

Our volunteers work incredibly hard to help us to provide our guests with memorable holiday experiences and it is thanks to their vibrancy that we can create the unique holiday atmosphere that so many of our guests have come to know and love.

We are so thankful for the support of our volunteers and are proud to offer inspirational opportunities all year round. If you would like to find out more about Revitalise or if you’re interested in becoming a volunteer please visit: WWW.REVITALISE.ORG.UK [1] or call our volunteer team on: 0303 303 0163.
