SOSPPAN (Save our services at Prince Philip Hospital) are urging the Llanelli community to contact the Community Health Council (CHC) to voice their concerns about the proposed Hywel Dda Health Board changes at Prince Philip Hospital (PPH).
To make things easier, SOSPPAN have put together a statement that can be copied and pasted into an email and sent straight to the CHC, who it is hoped can help them in their fight for PPH services.
Anyone wishing to send an email can simply copy the following and paste it to an email. The email can then be sent to: hyweldda@chcwales.org.uk
Dear Sir,
I wish to voice my belief that the changes proposed by the Hywel Dda LHB to the emergency provision at Prince Philip Hospital are unsafe and unacceptable.
Anything less than a service led by a properly qualified doctor on site leaves emergency patients in grave peril and puts an intolerable burden on both patients and hospital nursing staff to make diagnostic decisions beyond their acceptable remit.
Yours sincerely
Your name
Tonay Flatley, secretary of SOSPPAN told us:
“The fight is ongoing and because the consultation and research were so flawed we will be looking into going for a Judicial review.”
“We need everyone to keep fighting, forget the Hywel Dda’s idea of a nurse led A&E, and stand together because now Unison have come out against the proposals.”
