New tool to promote county’s meeting and event venues

A FREE tool to find out all the available community facilities on offer in the county is being launched by Carmarthenshire County Council.

The council’s Property Division is currently contacting the county’s public sector, town and community councils, third sector and local businesses, in order to create a ‘one-stop-shop’ of all the locations in Carmarthenshire which provide venues for meetings, events and more.

The project is being supported by One Voice Wales.

All the information will be available to view on the council’s website in coming months.

Cllr David Jenkins, executive board member responsible for resources, said: “This will be a great free service to promote many venues in the county, which will hopefully increase business and provide additional income to them. It will also make it easier for those who are searching for meeting or venue locations in the county to find them all with one click of a button.”

Offeryn newydd i hyrwyddo mannau cynnal yn y sir

MAE offeryn rhad ac am ddim yn cael ei lansio gan Gyngor Sir Caerfyrddin a fydd yn cynnig gwybodaeth am yr holl gyfleusterau cymunedol sydd ar gael yn y sir.

Mae Is-adran Eiddo y Cyngor wrthi’n cysylltu â’r sector cyhoeddus, cynghorau tref a chymuned, y trydydd sector a busnesau lleol yn y sir ar hyn o bryd i greu ‘siop un stop’ ynghylch yr holl leoliadau yn Sir Gaerfyrddin sy’n darparu mannau cynnal ar gyfer cyfarfodydd, digwyddiadau a mwy.

Cefnogir y prosiect gan Un Llais Cymru.

Bydd yr holl wybodaeth ar gael ar wefan y Cyngor yn y misoedd nesaf.

Dywedodd y Cynghorydd David Jenkins, yr Aelod o’r Bwrdd Gweithredol dros Adnoddau: “Bydd hwn yn wasanaeth rhad ac am ddim gwych i hyrwyddo llawer o fannau cynnal yn y Sir a fydd, gobeithio, yn cynyddu busnes a rhoi incwm ychwanegol i’r mannau hyn. Bydd hefyd yn ei gwneud yn haws i’r rhai sy’n chwilio am fannau yn y Sir i gynnal cyfarfodydd neu ddigwyddiadau eu gweld i gyd drwy glicio un botwm yn unig.”
