It’s going to be legendary

Tall tales, ancient legends, fables, fairy stories myths and mysteries – they are all part of   the National Botanic Garden’s first Festival of Storytelling, entitled Plant Plots.~

Fro wicked yarns for grown-ups to tales for the youngest family members, there are stories for everyone at the Garden on Saturday and Sunday July 21-22.

Explore Welsh legends linked to our famous Welsh Black cattle, meet The Reluctant Dragon and hear traditional tales from the Swansea Valley.

You will find storytellers in a variety of venues making the most of everything the Garden has to offer.

Make sure you don’t miss our Plant Plots ‘Book Fair’ in the Great Glasshouse where you can meet writers, authors, story-tellers and publishers. And there are amazing tropical butterflies and awesome birds of prey to enjoy, too.

  • The Garden is open from 10am to 6pm with last entry at 5pm. Admission to the Garden is £14.50 (including Gift Aid) for adults and this includes entry to the new British Birds of Prey Centre. Under 5s are free and parking is free for all.
