The Festival kicks off on the evening of Friday 7th of September with a Welsh Charity Psychic Supper featuring highly regarded, internationally renowned spiritual and healing teacher Roy Sunley who is travelling from Hertfordshire and giving up his time freely to support this event and help raise funds for our local charities.

On the Saturday you will find the Town Mayor, Miss Curves, Miss Divine, Ammanford Drum Circle, therapists, yoga teachers, energy healers, local crafters, psychic readers, little fairies and wizards in the exhibition hall. It’s an incredible family day out with free workshops for adults and children and tons of activities; adult entry is the price of a cup of coffee, children accompanied by adults have free entry, all supporting wonderful local charities.

Llanelli Town Mayor: Cllr David Llewelyn Darkin

Miss Curves Ireland, Llanelli’s own Rhian Thompson and the Town Mayoral Party will open the event at 10am to the sounds of a Shamanic Drumming Ceremony. A wide range of exhibitors from the local community and from far flung places around the British Isles will occupy the Centre’s main hall, workshops will take place on the stage and in the café for adults, families and children.
Families can learn about crystals, about massage, aromatherapy or mini-me yoga and listen to mindful relaxing fairy-tales. There will also be drumming and singing workshops, a bouncy castle, face painting, and a ‘Fairy & Wizard Trail’.

Adults can pick up some tips on energy healing, aromatherapy and numerology, see a very different mediumship demonstration, try holistic treatment tasters, visit the marketplace packed with unusual gift ideas.

Sound Healer: Shelley Underhill-Savage

‘Soul Medicine’ is on Sunday 9th where you can relax, reprogramme, replenish and revive your whole being with a day of gentle yoga, guided meditation, a Labyrinth and sound bath and raise money for Latch supporting children and families in our community with cancer.

Llanelli’s Selwyn Samuel Centre is next to People’s Park and the Leisure Centre, a few minutes safe walk to the town beach and Sandy Waterpark, all of which are ideal spots for a picnic. It’s also a few minutes from the town centre bus station and railway station.

Angela Medway-Smith of Cariad Spiritual

The Festival is being organised by Angela Medway-Smith of Cariad Spiritual, to provide a fun learning experience for local families while raising money for local children with diabetes, Welsh children with cancer and adults using Ty Bryngwyn Hospice.
Llanelli born Angela, a psychic medium, intuitive life coach, healer and spiritual & intuitive development teacher, works internationally, under the business name Cariad Spiritual.

Angela told The West Wales Chronicle:

“I’m really excited to bring this event to Llanelli, to give people tools that they can use every day, to create fun and learning for little ones and raise money that will make a difference to the lives of local people.

“My father had cancer treatment at Ty Bryngwyn, shortly afterwards my daughter, then aged 3, was diagnosed with Diabetes. I want to give back to those that helped my family. Latch provides incredible support for children and their families going through the unimaginable and Richard, Shelly and I want to support them.

“Roy kindly agreed to come and support the Festival when I attended a workshop he ran in London; I was so thrilled when he offered his support. This is the first time that Roy has worked in Wales and I know that he will receive a warm welcome from the people of Llanelli.

“I am so excited to welcome exhibitors and workshop presenters from all over the UK and bring opportunities for a joyful, informative day out to local families; there will be so much on offer.

“We’re repeating Soul Medicine as it was so successful in the spring. Local yoga teacher Richard Rees and sound healer Shelly Underhill-Savage join me for this magical day of workshops. The centre is transformed as a tea-light lit spiral labyrinth becomes the focus of a walking meditation, it’s a unique event with so much is packed into one day; we are so lucky to have events of this calibre in Llanelli.”

Tickets for the Psychic Supper are £15 and include a traditional Welsh Cawl, bread, cheese, Welsh cakes and unlimited tea and coffee and are available online via Facebook @cariadspiritual.
Tickets for the show on Saturday 8th are just £2.50 on the door, children with an adult are admitted free.
