Not too late to learn Welsh/Nid yw’n rhy hwyr i ddysgu Cymraeg

IT’S not just children who will be returning to school in September.

Adults are being given the chance to return to learning with Welsh classes for all levels starting across the county from September 24.

The new programme, which details all the day and evening courses, is available to see now at www.Learnwelsh.cymru

For those who would like a taste of what’s involved before signing up, there will be a one-day taster session held at Llandeilo Community Education Centre on Friday, September 14 from 9.30 am-4 pm where you will cover the basics of pronunciation and general, useful, phrases.

Those returning to a higher level can try the Rust buster course, which is available on the same day. This course will be held on three different levels – Mynediad (Entry), Sylfaen (Foundation) and Canolradd (Intermediate). The aim is to cover the work already completed in the previous year ready for the start of the term ahead.

The taster and Rust buster sessions cost £8.

They can either telephone for a quick assessment or can join to see what level is best for them.

Carmarthenshire County Council executive board member for education Cllr Glynog Davies said: “We have a host of different courses held at locations across the county to suit every level, from beginners to the more advanced. So whether you want to learn Welsh to support your children to be bilingual, to be able to use Welsh at work or for any other reason, come and find out more at our taster session – you will be sure to receive a warm Croeso!”

The Learn Welsh Carmarthenshire team will be out on the streets of Carmarthen, Llanelli, Ammanford and Llandeilo in coming weeks, come along to find out more. Mae oedolion yn cael cyfle i ddychwelyd i addysg drwy fynd i ddosbarth Cymraeg ar gyfer dysgwyr o bob lefel a fydd yn dechrau ledled y Sir o 24 Medi ymlaen.

Os hoffech chi gael blas ar gynnwys y cwrs cyn cofrestru, bydd sesiwn rhagflas undydd yn cael ei chynnal yng Nghanolfan Addysg Gymunedol Llandeilo, Ddydd Gwener 14 Medi o 9.30-4pm a rhoddir sylw i hanfodion ynganu ac ymadroddion cyffredinol, defnyddiol.

Mae’r rhai hynny sy’n dychwelyd i lefel uwch yn gallu rhoi cynnig ar y Cwrs Cicio’r Cof , sydd ar gael ar yr un diwrnod. Bydd y cwrs hwn yn cynnig tair lefel wahanol – Mynediad, Sylfaen a Chanolradd. Y nod yw rhoi sylw i’r gwaith a gwblhawyd yn y flwyddyn flaenorol, yn barod ar gyfer y tymor sydd i ddod.

Cost y sesiynau rhagflas a’r Cwrs Cicio’r Cof yw £8.

Gallwch naill ai ffonio i gael asesiad cyflym neu ymuno i weld pa lefel sydd orau ar eich cyfer chi.

Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Glynog Davies, yr Aelod o Fwrdd Gweithredol Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin dros Addysg: “Rydym yn cynnig llu o gyrsiau gwahanol ledled y sir sy’n addas ar gyfer pob lefel, boed yn ddysgwyr neu’n ddysgwr mwy profiadol. Felly, pa un a ydych am ddysgu Cymraeg er mwyn helpu eich plant i fod yn ddwyieithog, i ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg yn y gwaith neu am unrhyw reswm arall, dewch i gael rhagor o wybodaeth yn ein sesiwn rhagflas – mae’n siŵr y cewch chi Groeso Cynnes!”
