The Spy Who Dumped Me: Review.

This is one of the funniest spy comedies I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a fast fun-paced film which deserves high praise for its giddy playfulness.

Mila Kunis, most famous for her voice of Meg in Family Guy and That 70s Show, when it comes to her I think she can just do almost anything. Especially when it comes to comedy. In the spy who dumped me she plays a character called Audrey who, let’s say it is not very outgoing, she’s very unwilling to take any risks.

But when her ex-boyfriend returns after dumping her by text she finds out that he is a spy working for the CIA. He asks her to finish his mission if anything should happen to him, this is where things get a little perilous. As the mission moves on she finds out just how much of a badass she can be.

Morgan played by Kate McKinnon, most famous for Saturday Night Live, as always is just a barrel of laughs. As Audrey’s closest friend they tell each other (literally anything and everything). Morgan is way more outgoing than Audrey. Plus, she has a seriously nutty personality. She has a fair few action sequences in this movie which quite honestly, I didn’t expect to see from her and for me that made her exciting for me to watch. Yeah, I enjoyed watching her in the Ghostbusters reboot (but I seriously enjoyed watching her in this hilarious spy film). Conclusion, I hope they come up with a sequel.

As for Sam Heughan, I found his character pretty exciting. I didn’t really know where his character was going until it was revealed about half way through the film. Was he the good guy? Was he the bad guy? I had no idea. But I thought the character was very suave, very charming. He’s very acrobatic and honestly, I believe he would make an awesome James Bond.

I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for a few surprises and a lot of laughs which is why I rate this movie 10/10.
