South Wales Police Urge Residents To Be Vigilant As They Investigate Two Weekend Robberies In Penarth

South Wales Police are investigating two robberies which took place in Dingle Road, Penarth, over the weekend.

The first incident took place on September 1 at around 10.10pm. Two teenagers reported that they had been approached by five boys who stolen their bag and mobile phones.

The second incident happened on September 2 at around 8.50pm. A 15-year-old boy said a group of boys approached him demanding he hand over his bike.

They assaulted him and stole his bike.

The suspects in both incidents are described as being five black males aged between 15 and 17-years-old.

Detective Inspector Terry Hopkins said:

“Investigations into the two incident are ongoing. Extra police patrols are taking place in the area while enquiries are made to identify the individuals responsible.

“I would urge residents to be vigilant when travelling around the Dingle Park area at night in the coming days.

“Anyone with any information which could assist officers is asked to call 101 quoting reference 1800333913 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
