South Wales Police Appeal After Cyclist Incurs Life-Threatening Injuries!

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident which occurred around 6.50pm yesterday (September 9) on Buttrills Road, Barry.

A cyclist travelling down Buttrills Hill was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with serious injuries which are described as life-threatening.

The road was closed for around four hours to allow for investigation work, the police would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding during this time.

Police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident, anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of riding of the cyclist prior to the incident.

They would also like to speak to and trace the driver and occupants of a white Citreon C3 vehicle with a red coloured roof and black panelling on the doors which was travelling directly behind the bicycle at the time of the incident to come forward.
