Two burglaries at homes in the Hendy area are being investigated by police

Detectives are investigating two burglaries at homes in the Hendy area which have occurred within a week of each other.

The first burglary happened at an address in Llanedy Road, Pontarddulais some time between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Tuesday 30th April.

Someone has forced open a rear kitchen window and gone in to the home taking several items of gold jewellery and a quantity of cash.

The following week on Tuesday 7th May a house on Heol Y Parc was burgled sometime between 9am and 7pm.

Entry was gained via the patio doors and once again a quantity of jewellery and cash was taken from the property.

“Both these offences have been committed during daylight hours, in close proximity to each other and the same items targeted within the house,” said Detective Inspector Richard Hopkin. “if anyone has any information on who is responsible, or if you saw anything suspicious in these areas on the days in question then please contact us at Llanelli CID by calling 101.”
