SUPER SING TO HIT CARMARTHENSHIRE

We’ve heard of superheroes, supersizes and superstorms… but now a ‘SUPER SING’ is about to hit Carmarthenshire in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Llanelli’s multi-million pound new Ffwrnes theatre will be the host venue for SUPER SING, an exciting community singing experience for people who love to sing from across Carmarthenshire to join together for a fun sing-a-long, expert workshops and performances – all in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Presented by the Llanelli Choral Society, admission to the event is free with bucket collections for BBC Children in Need.

The event will feature magical moments from musicals, heart-rousing hymns and great classical choruses, all under the expert music leadership of John Hywel Williams MBE and Huw Tregelles Williams OBE with exciting spotlight performances from the Llanelli Choral Society and the acclaimed Hywel Girls’ Choir & Hywel Boy Singers.

Singing highlights will include Les Miserables, Singing in the Rain, You’ll Never Walk Alone, Hallelujah Chorus, Zadok The Priest, Aida’s Grand March, O Fortuna, Tydi a Rhoddaist, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, Guide Me Now O Great Jehovah, Jerusalem, Edelweiss and many more.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for the community as a whole to come together as one voice in aid of BBC Children in Need”, explains Monro Walters Chairman of the Llanelli Choral Society. “It’s also an unique opportunity for individuals who love to sing to take part in a 500-strong audience and choir and sing a wealth of popular and diverse music.”

A warm welcome is being extended to individuals and also community groups, companies and churches with the goal of showing powerful community support for BBC Children in Need.
