NEWS UPDATE – Police are still appealing to find Steve Baxter, wanted on suspicion of murder! Can you help?

54-year-old Simon Peter Clark (deceased)

Dyfed-Powys Police is continuing to investigate the death of Simon Clark at Grove Caravan Park in Pendine which was reported on Friday the 28th of September.

The search continues for 52-year-old Steve Baxter (also known as Steve Rowley; Wayne Tidy; William TIDY) who is wanted on suspicion of murder.  As part of the search Dyfed-Powys Police, with the assistance of South Wales Police officers, have today been conducting enquiries and property searches in the Neath area and the Fairwater area of Cardiff.

Three people remain in police custody:

A 40-year-old male arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 52-year-old female arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender

A 46-year-old female arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Jones, leading the investigation, said:

“We are keen to trace Steve Baxter as soon as possible as he is considered to be a dangerous individual. While we know he was in the Bridgend area last Friday we are aware that he has connections in the West Wales, South Wales and South West England areas. I would urge anyone who has information as to his whereabouts to contact police on 999 as soon as possible. Please do not approach him.”
