Skills Development for Economic Growth in Central and South West Wales Event 2013

A free two day conference, to be opened by the Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology, Jeff Cuthbert AM, will be held at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea on the 12th and 13th June which will showcase regional and national and entrepreneurial skills development.

The event will celebrate the excellent practice and raise awareness of the importance of entrepreneurial skills to support the growth of the region and its future economy.

Facilitated by the Regional Learning Partnership, the event offers a number of presentations and a number of interactive workshops throughout the 2 days. An attendance of over 200 delegates is expected.

Educators and practitioners working in the field of enterprise and

entrepreneurship education, curriculum development teams together with those who influence policy in the area, business support teams and employers are all encouraged to attend the event.

Day 1 focuses on a range of presentations including the National Centre for Enterprise in Education and Ready Unlimited – a social enterprise specialising in the development and delivery of enterprise education. There will also be a focus on entrepreneurship through the use of technology with guest speaker Simon Gibson from Wesley Clover Corporation.

Day 2 will focus on entrepreneurship and regeneration which will include presentations from entrepreneurs within central and south west Wales as well as a focus on regional economic regeneration developments highlighting skills and employability.

Both days will feature specialised workshops on the various themes of the event.
