Hundreds of people lined Llanelli streets to cheer on the heroes of The Royal Welsh.

On a sunny June Saturday, the crowds cheered, clapped and waved at the soldiers who were given the Freedom of Carmarthenshire in 2008.

The regiment paraded from the Selwyn Samuel Centre to The Town Hall, where they were led by ‘Taffy’ the regiment mascot and accompanied by the Royal Welsh Band.

From The Town Hall they were joined by Cadets from the Llanelli Company of the Dyfed and Glamorgan AFC and marched through the streets of Llanelli. The Regiment was in town as part of the celebrations to launch the new look Llanelli Town Centre.royal welsh
