It’s All Black and red for homes’ Llanelli launch
Rugby stars from the All Blacks and Wales have inspired a Llanelli new homes launch this weekend.
As the teams make their final plans to meet at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, a Gŵyr Homes showhome in Bynea will be bedecked in red and black.
Home buyers visiting the development at Y Gerddi, off Heol-y-bwlch, from 10am-2pm will get the chance to win a Wales or New Zealand rugby shirt.  Over-18s will be able to sample New Zealand wine and there’ll be Welsh cheese and Wales-themed face painting.  They’ll then be able to get back to their own TVs for the big game’s 5.15pm kick-off.
Gŵyr Homes executive director – and ex-Wales forward – Stuart Davies said: “As we live in a rugby-obsessed nation we’ve made sure that our launch dovetails perfectly with the big game.
“Our open day will help to heighten the atmosphere and build expectation for the match. We haven’t beaten the All Blacks since 1953; wouldn’t it be great to beat them and find the home of your dreams all in one day!â€
The 13 homes at Y Gerddi range from one-bedroom apartments to a four-bedroom townhouse.
All are all available through Gŵyr Homes’ innovative Homebuy scheme which allows a purchaser to buy the property for 70% of the value, with Gŵyr Homes loaning the remaining 30%. Prices start at £56,000 for an £80,000 property.
