Dyfed Powys Police have confirmed that a male’s body was found this evening in North Dock.

They received the call at 6.16pm this evening. Investigations are continuing into the age and name of the deceased.

Your Llanelli’s Josh Thomas was on scene and he spoke to a few of the bystanders. He said people were in shock and generally couldn’t believe what had happened.

They told him:

“I’ve heard it’s a young boy and it’s worrying that there’s been 2 losses of young people in the same day! It’s starting to make Llanelli look like a place related to young deaths!”

“I saw the bodybag and immediately found it disturbing, especially in a quiet town like Llanelli! All these recent deaths have come suddenly and unexpectedly”

“I heard about it on Facebook and immediately felt a sadness towards all the young lives lost recently!”

“The Police are still on site but the incident has drawn a large crowd of onlookers, many feel this is inappropriate. Though, many people would have been unaware of the incident and would just be out with the family enjoying the sunshine only to come across this harrowing scene.”

The incident has also been the talk of Facebook with many people offering their condolences and expressing shock.

We will bring an update as soon as we receive more information.
