Police are treating the death of a man who’s body was found in the North Dock as unexplained. A spokesperson said:

“Police are continuing with their enquiries into the discovery of a body in water in the North Dock area of Llanelli yesterday evening.

“The death is still being treated as unexplained.”

“Next of kin and the H.M.Coroner have been informed.”

“As with normal procedure we will wait for formal ID to be completed before we confirm identity.”

They have also confirmed that man is aged in his 40s but haven’t released his name.

We’ve been contacted by a shocked witness who saw first hand the Police operation. He told us:

“I was leaving my flat and walked around past the Docks when I saw several Police men there. Two of them were in the water pulling out a body.!”

“I could see that the person was wearing a grey jacket, grey bottoms and white shoes. The Police immediately placed him into a body bag.”

“It was a terrible sight as the dead man’s legs were bent and his arms raised above his chest. When the Paramedics arrived, they took one look at the body and then took their equipment back to the ambulance where they got a stretcher.”

“I didn’t sleep well last night, was shocked. This is the second time it’s happened in nearly 2 years. Just truly shocking.”

“My thoughts are with the man’s family.”
