Here’s a great recipie for a tasty treat Anzac Biscuits, which are very similar to hobnobs or flapjacks. Give it a try! They are really nice when they’ve just come out of the oven.

Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
1cup rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
Half cup of desiccated coconut
125g butter
2tbs golden syrup
1tbs water
Half teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
method:
Sift the flour into a bowl, add the sugar, rolled oats and coconut.
Melt the butter in a saucepan and add golden syrup and water.
Stir the bicarbonate of soda into the liquid mixture.
Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Place walnut-sized balls of mixture on a greased baking tray and bake at 175°c for 15-20 minutes.
Biscuits will harden when cool.
