Squad announced for Portugal double header

Wales manager Jayne Ludlow has named nine uncapped players for the squad to face Portugal in a double header on the 10th and 13th of November.

Ludlow will be resting experienced players Jess Fishlock and Loren Dykes to allow other players within a camp environment and competitive game fixtures while Tottenham Hotspur midfielder

Megan Wynne is back in the squad after winning her last Wales cap against Scotland in 2013. Meanwhile Rachel Rowe will be missing out as she recovers from injury.

The squad was announced by children from all over Wales which were inspired as the side narrowly missing out on a place in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. During that campaign Wales went seven games without conceding and picking up some famous results, beating Russia 3-0 at home and a goalless draw against England away at Southampton.

Both matches will now be fully capped friendly matches after the original announcement of a B international and a A international.

Cyhoeddi carfan ar gyfer gêmau Portiwgal

Mae rheolwr Cymru Jayne Ludlow wedi enwi naw chwaraewr ddi-cap ar gyfer gemau yn erbyn Portiwgal ym mis Tachwedd.

Bydd Ludlow yn rhoi saib i Jess Fishlock a Loren Dykes er mwyn rhoi cyfle i chwaraewyr newydd gael blas o bêl-droed rhyngwladol a fydd Megan Wynne yn cael cyfle i chwarae eto ers chwarae yn erbyn yr Alban yn 2013. Yn ogystal â hynny, bydd Rachel Rowe yn colli allan wrth iddi hi wella o anaf.
Roedd y garfan wedi cael ei chyhoeddi gan blant ar draws Cymru oedd wedi cael ei ysbrydoli wrth i’r tîm dod yn agos i le yng Nghwpan y Byd Merched 2019. Roedd y tîm yn hynod anlwcus wrth iddyn nhw fynd saith gêm heb ildio gôl a chael canlyniadau hanesyddol wrth guro Rwsia 3-0 a gêm ddi-sgôr yn erbyn Lloegr yn Southampton.

Bydd y ddwy gêm yn gemau rhyngwladol llawn, yn wahanol i’r cyhoeddiad gyntaf o un gêm ‘A’ ac un gêm ‘B’.
