It was with great anticipation that a crowd of around 700 supporters packed into the Delme Thomas suite for the annual unveiling of the new kit.

A fun, family evening had been planned with face painting, circus performers, inflatables and music from Ponthenri’s own Catherine Elms on offer, but the main event was of course catching a glimpse of the new design!

It was Rob McCuskerwho was given the honour of modelling the home kit…..obviously Scarlet in colour, but with white highlighting part of the famous dragon wing that makes up the Scarlets logo. Rob Evans was next on the catwalk in the new away jersey. Gone is the dark grey ‘tinplate blue’ colour and it’s back to the original jersey colour of dark blue.

Squad members including Ken Owens, Rhys Priestland and the very cool Aaron Shingler modeled the new leisurewear range offering a variety of t shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts.

Following the fashion show and a few words from Simon Easterby, players were available to sign autographs and mingle with the supporters who were also offered a stadium tour to complete the evening.

And so with the new kit launched, it’s time to turn attentions to the launch of the new season. This Saturday sees the first of the friendlies being played at home in Parc y Scarlets against the Exeter Chiefs, kicking off at 3pm…….ALL WELCOME!!
