At approximately midnight on Sunday 18 August officers were en-route to a call in Llanelli when they came across an assault occurring in the car park to the rear of HSBC/Tinopolis buildings.
The victims were a 66 year old man and a 67 year old woman. Officers arrested a 26 year old man and a 23 year old woman at the scene. Medical assistance was sought for the victims – the man sustained numerous non life threatening injuries, but the woman was uninjured, although both were understandably very distressed.
The arrested man and woman were charged with Section 20 GBH upon the man, and the 26 year old man was also charged with Section 39 assault upon the woman. He appeared in Llanelli Magistrates Court on Monday 19/8/13 where he was bailed with stringent bail conditions to attend at Swansea Crown Court on the 27th of August.
The 23 year old woman has been bailed to appear in Llanelli Magistrates Court on 12/9/13.
