Fatal collision, Ogmore Vale – Appeal for witnesses and family tribute
South Wales Police is continuing to appeal for people to come forward with information or footage following a fatal collision in Ogmore Vale.
David Blinman, 88, died at the scene after he was in collision with a lorry at the junction of Blandy Terrace and Railway Terrace at approximately 1.15pm on Friday, December the 28th.
Paying tribute to him, his family said:
“For more than sixty five years he lived and loved his Ogmore Vale, where his two children Jeffrey and Catherine were born and resided.
“Grandfather to four grandchildren and four great grandchildren who loved him to dearly.
“In his life, David loved his snooker and often placed bets on the horses.
“He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.”
A/Insp Gareth Morgan, from the Roads Policing Unit, said:
“We are continuing to investigate this collision in which a much-loved family man lost his life.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw Mr Blinman or the Volvo lorry in the moments before the collision, or indeed the collision itself.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who may have captured the incident on a dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone.”
