Music Scene’s first ever gig takeover of the Masons Arms took place on Friday 13th September. Despite the weather being a tad wet and windy that didn’t stop the pub from filling with people.

First up Music Scene welcomed Helldown who playing their first ever gig in the Masons Arms and it was their new guitarist’s first gig with the band on the night too. There was no better band to open the night than Helldown with their thrash metal set of originals and two covers including a Slayer Tune.  Real headbanging stuff.

World Vs World went on stage second, in a last minute change to the running order on the night,  due to one of their members being called into work. They put on a great solid set of original songs with a clear grungy edge with splashings of Radiohead and Muse in their vocals and melodic guitar sounds.

Truth Seeking Conspiracy presented their new singer for her first gig with the band on the night. TSC put on a rocking set of originals with the singer’s vocals and stage presence akin to Hayley Williams of Paramore and the guitars and drums appearing to be influenced by Bullet for My Valentine with heavier elements to their great original sound.
