AN exhibition of sculptures by much loved Llanelli craftsman Adriano Candelori has been extended.
The show’s run has been extended two months until Christmas at Parc Howard Mansion gallery by popular demand to give more people a chance to see this many works.
County museums manager Ann Dorset said hundreds had visited the exhibition and extending it gave visitors to Parc Howard an opportunity to see the grounds wearing their colourful autumnal cloak.
The exhibition has 20 sculptures including Mr. Candelori’s six sculptures that make up his Craftsmen at Work series. These are made of terracotta and include a Doubler, a Wheelwright and a Miner.
Also on show are fine portrait heads in terracotta. One portrait head is of Adriano Candelori’s son, Dominic, and also on show is a portrait head of the former First Minister for Wales, Rhodri Morgan. Work on the Rhodri Morgan portrait head was carried out at the Royal National Eisteddfod at Llanelli in 2000. Adriano Candelori has exhibited widely and for many years participated in the Llanelli Arts Society.
Adriano Candelori came to Llanelli from his native Italy in 1952. He celebrates his eightieth birthday this year and this exhibition celebrates his artistic achievement.
