Llanelli’s 2012 Battle of the Band winners ’ the rock band Beautiful Strangers have released their much anticipated first album entitled Forgive and Regret. The five piece band consisting of Stu on vocals, Richie and Mike on guitars, Jon on bass and David on drums have been together since late 2011.
Since their formation the band have performed regularly at local live music venues in Llanelli and around South Wales where they have obtained a good following of fans who appreciate their music and their stage presence and the energy that goes into their live shows.
As well as performing live, the band have spent the first part of 2013 recording Forgive and Regret which was funded by the band and was recorded at the Boneyard Recording studio.
On Friday 4th October Beautiful Strangers held a launch party for the album at Sin City in Swansea supported by Dai C Thomas of Nomadic Ways and the Rock band Texas Flood. The night was reported to be a success and fans of Beautiful Strangers got to purchase their album as well as Beautiful Strangers t-shirts.
Mike from the band said all the tracks on the album are his favourite but the tracks that have got the biggest praise from fans are I Can’t Lie, Set Me Free and Stop Hurting Yourself.
Stu said rather than having a favourite song off the album he likes bits of songs like phrases, guitar parts or choruses.
Beautiful Strangers do not currently have a manager or a record label, however they are open to the right opportunities coming along. The band have recently been enjoying radio play on The Wave and Radio Tircoed and they hope this continues. They plan to play more live shows in the Llanelli, and South Wales area in the lead up to Christmas and their album can be purchased from any of their live shows, as well as from their website www.beautifulstrangers.co.uk. Plans are also in place to make the album available for sale on iTunes and Amazon online, as well as at music venues and shops in Llanelli and Swansea in the coming weeks.
Look out for Beautiful Strangers at a venue near you and check out their album, that is one thing you will not regret.
