SCARLETS INJURY UPDATE
Scarlets outside half Stephen Jones will undergo a precautionary scan tomorrow (Weds) on a knee injury that he picked up against Benetton Treviso last weekend.
The region’s medical team have re-assessed Jones today (Tues) and stated that early signs indicate that the Wales international has a minor knee ligament strain, which will probably keep him out of action for up to four weeks.
Scarlets and Wales skipper Matthew Rees will have a late fitness test this week to see if he will be available for the Scarlets Heineken Cup fixture against Treviso this Saturday out in Italy. Rees is carrying a minor adductor strain (groin).
