We’re delighted to welcome Ant Giannaccini to MBC. I’m sure most of you know him but for those that don’t you have a big treat in store even though he supports Spurs.

Also in town this week is Tears for Fears who hit London’s 02 Wednesday night. They’ve just announced some lovely summer shows at Hampton Court and Blenheim Palace for June.

Congrats to Mark Ronson for his Best Song Oscar nomination for ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star Is Born’. Mark is currently putting the finishing touches to his eagerly anticipated new album featuring the killer smash ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ featuring Miley Cyrus.

A big MBC welcome also to Cage The Elephant whose forthcoming incredible album ‘Social Cues’ is out April 19th. We can’t get this disc off our turntable! Highlights are many including ‘Ready To Let Go’ with a video directed by lead singer Matt Shultz and ‘Night Running’ featuring Beck. Stay tuned for more Cage news!!!

The one and only Eddie Vedder has been announced as very special guest to the Who Wembley Stadium gig July 6th

The biggest band in Ireland right now are Picture This whose new album MDRN Love is out here next month to coincide with their 5 sold out UK dates including London’s Forum March 19th. Jake Bugg plays a War Child gig at the Omeara February 18th.

The wonderful Patty Griffin, who dropped her stunning new track ‘Where I Come From’ last Friday, releases a new Thirty Tigers album March 8th and plays a host of UK shows in May including the QEH May 11th. She also heads to SxSW next month.

Ward Thomas getting a lot of love on reviews for their excellent new album ‘Restless Minds’ out Feb 8. Catch them on tour this spring. Watch the fab new video for single ‘No Filter’ HERE.

Hot on the heels of releasing debut solo album ‘Prismism’, Killers guitarist Dave Keuning announces a March/April UK tour including a date at the Garage April 2nd. Watch the video for single ‘The Queen’s Finest’ HERE.

Everybody’s favourite Avril Lavigne is back with new album ‘Head Above Water’ out Feb 15 on BMG. Watch the video for the title track HERE.

And the classic Paddy McAloon/Prefab Sprout opus ‘I Trawl The Megahertz’ was reissued last Friday. We hear Paddy has a NEW album coming this autumn and we can’t wait!!

Tom Walker gets ready to release his mighty debut album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ March 1st. Tom is getting that bow tie ready for the BRITS where he has been nominated for two awards: Breakthrough Act and Best Single (‘Leave A Light On’). Watch the video for new single ‘Just You And I’ HERE.

Ryan Bingham dropped new track ‘Pontiac’ this week ahead of the release of his awesome new LP ‘American Love Story’ on February 15th. New Thirty Tigers signing Ida Mae released their beautiful new single ‘If You Don’t Love Me’. The duo, who are currently working on their debut album, play a headline show at Omeara on March 13th.
