The modern world can feel like a jungle and we can all feel overwhelmed by it sometimes.  However, within the tangle of foliage it is possible to stumble across an oasis of calm where the birds are singing, fishes are swimming and monkeys are playing.  As such the doctors and admin staff at Withybush Child Health Department are determined to transform their waiting room and clinic rooms into a safe and welcoming space for children and their families as respite from the wilderness out there and a fun home from home to explore what it means to be alive in this increasingly tricky modern world.

Inspired by the city of Laz Paz in Bolivia where dancing zebras help pedestrians safely cross the street and as such have contributed to a 50 percent decrease in traffic fatalities the doctors at the Child Health Department will be dressing up in animal onesies (of their choice) during the first week of March 2019.

We are asking families, staff and public to sponsor our fearless doctors as they sport the spirit animal of choice and conduct their clinics dressed as their favourite animal.  The admin staff will be joining them throughout the week dressed in animal themed pyjamas and we will have a photo opportunity on Tuesday 5th March 2019 (time tbc).

With the money raised we will transform the waiting area and clinic rooms in the Community Child Health Department into a jungle themed animal-tastic area full of playfulness and surprises.  Please sponsor us by donating on: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/itsajungleoutthere

Mae hi fel jyngl allan yn fan’a- felly cefnogwch Adran Iechyd Plant y Gymuned, Ysbyty Llwynhelyg, Hwlffordd – rydym yn griw da!

Gall y byd modern deimlo fel jyngl weithiau a gallwn ni i gyd deimlo wedi ein llethu ar brydiau.  Fodd bynnag, o fewn prysurdeb y dail mae’n bosibl dod ar draws man tawel ble mae’r adar yn canu, mae pysgod yn nofio ac mae mwncïod yn chwarae.

Yn sgil hyn, mae meddygon a staff gweinyddol Adran Iechyd Plant Ysbyty Llwynhelyg yn benderfynol o drawsnewid eu hystafelloedd aros a’u hystafelloedd clinig i fod yn lle diogel a chroesawgar i blant a’u teuluoedd fel seibiant o’r byd prysur tu allan gan greu awyrgylch cartrefol er mwyn arwchwilio’r byd sydd ohoni.

Wedi’i ysbrydoli gan ddinas Laz Paz yn Bolivia lle mae Zebras yn dawnsio yn helpu cerddwyr i groesi’r stryd yn ddiogel sydd wedi cyfrannu at ostyngiad o 50 y cant mewn marwolaethau traffig, bydd y meddygon yn yr Adran Iechyd Plant yn gwisgo i fyny mewn gwisgoedd anifeiliaid (o’u dewis) yn ystod wythnos gyntaf Mawrth 2019.

Rydym ni’n gofyn i deuluoedd, staff a’r cyhoedd i noddi ein meddygon wrth iddynt gynnal eu clinigau wedi’u gwisgo fel eu hoff anifail. Bydd y staff gweinyddol yn ymuno â nhw trwy gydol yr wythnos yn gwisgo pyjamas thema anifeiliaid a bydd cyfle i ni gael llun ar ddydd Mawrth 5 Mawrth 2019 (amser i’w gadarnhau).

Gyda’r arian a godir, byddwn yn trawsnewid yr ystafelloedd aros a’r ystafelloedd clinig yn yr Adran Iechyd Plant Cymunedol i mewn i ardal llawn hwyl.
