Carmarthenshire Young Labour and Nia Griffith MP are supporting Labour’s pledge to freeze gas and electricity prices until 2017.

We are holding two stalls on the Energy Price Freeze on November 9th, one in Llanelli town centre outside the EE shop 11am till 1pm with Young Members and Nia Griffith MP, the other in Ammanford town centre on Quay Street 1.30pm till 3.30pm with Young Members and Carmarthen East and Dinefwr Parliamentary Candidate Calum Higgins, to freeze the ridiculous prices the energy companies are charging us all.

Our energy bill freeze will save a typical household £120.

We in Carmarthenshire are in the middle of a cost of living crisis. You are working harder for longer, for less, year after year. But David Cameron will only stand up for a privileged few, not for hard working families. This Tory-led government tax cut for people on over £150,000, whilst raising it for everyone else.

Under the Tories, energy bills have risen by almost £300 for families, and local businesses tell us that energy bills are the second largest cost that they face.
