Work Options is a service for unemployed adults who are “confused” or unsure of what types of work may be suitable for them. This would be particularly useful for people who have been long term unemployed, or those who have been made redundant and are not able to gain similar types of work.

Work Options uses an individual’s work-related interests, skills, and desired occupation level to identify suitable careers with a detailed report being given at the end of the session, containing the top three matches and an action plan to support the next step in their career.

Work Options works by answering a few simple multiple choice questions on the type of activities or environment you’d like to work in etc., the programme matches people to a suitable career depending on their answers. Once matched you can search the full details on the careers matched such as work activities, pay opportunities and information on entry routes and training.

Work Options will only take an hour of the client’s time to complete and they will receive a report to take away with them.

If you have any further questions or would like to have an informal chat with one of our support workers please feel free to contact us on either: 01554 700351, lighthouse.llanelli@gmail.com or drop into The Lighthouse.
