A vibrant new programme of events has been launched by Pembrey & Burry Port Events Forum, supported by Carmarthenshire County Council’s Tourism and Marketing Department.
Highlighting an extensive range of family-friendly events, the Autumn/Winter programme has something for everyone, such as Burry Port Christmas carnival on November 22, the Lantern Festival on December 20, as well as a Grand Concert on February 8 featuring Caradog Williams, Mary Jean O’Doherty, Ceri John and Côr Iau y Strade.
Events Forum Member and Burry Port Town Band Chairman Graham Howe said: “It’s great to see the launch of this promotion of events which are happening in Pembrey and Burry Port. So many events happen in our town by many different organisations, and to be able to have one publicity initiative is fantastic.
“Thank you to the community groups who have contributed so far and to Carmarthenshire County Council for their support. This is a great start and I’m looking forward to helping this grow for the next programme as more groups get involved.”
Details on all the Autumn/Winter events can be found on Pembrey & Burry Port Town Council’s website, http://pembreyburryport-tc.gov.uk , or by calling 01554 834346. Also check for new events and updates on the ‘Burry Port and Pembrey Events’ Facebook group and Twitter @Burry_Port.
