On the evening of Monday 25th November Llanelli Music Scene’s Facebook page was hacked. Fans of the page may have been surprised to see the Music Scene’s cover photo replaced with an inappropriate cartoon picture of a woman being shot in the head. Further to this inappropriate photographs of an adult nature were posted onto the Music Scene’s timeline by the hacker.
The hacker did not stop there but decided to change the link to the llanellitown.com/ your Llanelli website on the Music Scene page to a pornographic website.
Fortunately the pictures and web link changes were spotted fairly quickly and were taken down by Music Scene Staff and action was taken to restore the page and make it safe.
Unfortunately the hacker did succeed in deleting much of the last months music news from the facebook page.
Music Scene & Llanellitown/Yourllanelli are investigating the hacking, as this was conducted by someone who certainly has no respect for the promotion of the local Music Scene.
