The Mayor of Kidwelly, Councillor Philip Thompson is hosting a Mayor’s Charity Night at Neuadd Mynyddygarreg on 6th April 2019 at 7.30 pm. The night will feature renowned live music from the renowned Ceilidh band Murphy’s Law and their experienced dance caller for an exciting evening of live traditional Irish music, Welsh tunes and dance.

 

People are assured a great night out with excellent music, lead fiddle player of Murphy’s Law, Mike Lease was an all-Ireland competition finalist and 2nd in the UK Irish fiddle competition. He was also a founder member of the legendary Welsh band Yr Hwntws and the trio Hin Deg.

Mayor of Kidwelly, Councillor Philip Thompson said: “ I hope to see lots of the community from Kidwelly and Mynyddygarreg at what should be a wonderful community event in a relaxed setting with exciting live music and dance all for a brilliant local organisation”

All profits from the night will go to local charity Tŷ Golau, which works with people who have memory problems/dementia type illness to offer a safe environment where they can engage in mentally stimulating activities, which have been shown to slow down the ageing process.
