‘I Will for Wales’ Campaign 2011

Keep Wales Tidy have launched their high profile, New Year’s resolution campaign, ‘I Will for Wales’.  The campaign is making a plea to the people of Wales to look after the environment and keep their local area clean and tidy in 2011.

They are encouraging individuals, and organisations, to make small lifestyle changes that collectively will have a huge impact on the environment and people’s pockets; small changes that will dramatically improve the areas where we work, live and for tourists.

Keep Wales Tidy say:

We are encouraging individuals, and organisations, to make small lifestyle changes that collectively will have a huge impact on the environment and people’s pockets; small changes that will dramatically improve the areas where we work, live and for tourists.

We all have a role to play in ensuring the Welsh environment is a place to be proud of and need your help in getting the message across.

To ensure we appeal to the widest possible audience, we are asking Welsh organisations to corporately support this campaign and sign up to make some ‘Tidy’ resolutions.

We will endeavour to publicise your support in our PR and all resolutions will feature on our website and in our associated campaign publicity and social media.

Why should you get involved?

  • By supporting this campaign, you are actively demonstrating your commitment to improving the quality of the Welsh environment.
  • It can help you achieve environmental accreditations eg Green Dragon and clearly shows practical action against your Environmental/Green Policy.
  • Opportunity to generate excellent positive publicity.
  • Provides a focus for your team-building and fundraising activities for 2011.
  • Great way to bring staff together for a ‘hands-on’ project with a positive, visible outcome – a real sense of achievement for your staff.
  • If you resolve to undertake a practical project, the day will provide enhanced skills for your employees (conservation methods, Health and Safety, event planning)
  • Provides a vehicle for you to support your local community and demonstrate a social investment in your area.

How can you get involved?

  • Corporately sign up by completing our online resolution form for your organisation (make sure you include your company’s name NOT your own name).
  • Film a video which can be included on all our electronic media.
  • Publicise your involvement on your organisation’s website.
  • Issue a press release outlining your organisations resolutions.
  • Encourage your staff/members to join up as individuals by promoting the campaign internally.
