Network Rail have advised that due to heavy rain and storm force winds forecast for the Arriva Trains Wales network today , they will be imposing speed restrictions across the whole of the Wales route from 1400hrs this afternoon until 2000hrs – This will lead to delays and cancellation of some services. Speed restrictions will be reviewed throughout this period
In addition to the above due to more severe weather conditions forecast in the following areas, Network Rail are suspending services from 1400hrs* today until at least 2000hrs on the following routes:
- Bangor – Holyhead (this will affect Virgin Trains as well)
- Machynlleth – Aberystwyth

We would advise passengers to complete journeys as early as possible today as we will not be able to guarantee completion of journeys later today or provision of any road transport (road / weather conditions may prevent any replacement transport operating)
Tickets dated for today will be valid tomorrow
We thank passengers for their patience and understanding during this time
