Llanelli plays host to the biggest Mind Body Spirit Event in Carmarthenshire.
Following the tremendous success of summer 2017 and 2018 events, this weekend at Selwyn Samuel you will find the Town Mayor Mr David Darkin, Ammanford Drum Circle, therapists, meditation teachers, energy healers, local artisan crafters, spiritual readers, little fairies and wizards in the exhibition hall.
It’s an incredible family day out with free workshops for adults and children and tons of activities; adult entry is the price of a cup of coffee, children accompanied by adults have free entry; all supporting Latch which provides support for children and their families living with cancer in our community.
Local fundraiser Angela Medway-Smith, Latch representatives, the Town Mayoral and Rural Community Council Parties will open the event at 10am to the sounds of a Shamanic Drumming Ceremony. A wide range of exhibitors from the local community and from far flung places around the British Isles will occupy the Centre’s main hall, workshops will take place on the stage and in the café for adults, families and children.
Families can learn the health benefits of singing, mindfulness, meditation and aromatherapy and listen to mindful relaxing tales from The Story Lady. There will also be magic and drumming workshops, a bouncy castle, face painting, and a Unicorn Trail.
Adults can pick up some tips on energy healing, dowsing, nutrition and hypnotherapy, try holistic treatment tasters, visit the eclectic marketplace packed with unusual gift ideas.
Llanelli’s Selwyn Samuel Centre is next to People’s Park and the Leisure Centre, a few minutes safe walk to the town beach and Sandy Waterpark, all of which are ideal spots for a picnic. It’s also a few minutes from the town centre bus station and railway station.
The Festival is being organised by Angela Medway-Smith of Cariad Spiritual, to provide a fun learning experience for local families while raising money for local children with cancer.
LATCH supports the children and their families who are being treated by the Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Wales, whose catchment area stretches from Chepstow in the South to Aberystwyth in the North. Around 70 new cases are diagnosed every year.
Llanelli born Angela, a healer, psychic medium, intuitive life coach and healing & intuitive development teacher, works internationally, under the business name Cariad Spiritual.
