This Friday 21st February Llanelli Music Scene present These Hands of Mine at the Masons Arms with their first Headline gig since reforming. The band will be supported on the night by Helldown and Without Shores and the night will be a must for fans of Metal music.

Thanks to These Hands of Mine for taking sometime out to tell Llanelli Music Scene a bit about the band.

1) For those who don’t know, who are These Hands Of Mine?

These Hands Of Mine are a four piece metal band from Llanelli, Wales. Kyle Watherston and Wayne Calford remain our vocalist and guitarist respectively while we welcome Cai Rayer in as our new drummer and Mike Wilmot as our new bassist.

2) When did These Hands Of Mine originally form/split?

These Hands Of Mine originally formed towards the beginning of 2012. Unfortunately, our gigging days were short lived and we then split later that year due to personal reasons.

3) When did you decide to reform with the current lineup?

We decided to reform towards the end of 2013 when Kyle and Wayne decided the time was right. The rest fell together perfectly as Cai and Mike were close friends of the two already. We are very fortunate to be able to reform with such a dedicated and hard-working lineup.

4) How would you describe the bands music?

We simply refer to our music as metal. We like to think it has something for everyone and will appeal to a huge variety of metal fans. We have everything from heavy riffs and breakdowns to intense, melodic sweeping solos. The vocals also offer a wide range, primarily screaming but often kicking into catchy, sung chorus’.

5) What plans do These Hands Of Mine have for 2014?

We are hoping for a very busy year with plenty of shows. We aim to spread our music as far as possible and to try and grow as a band as quickly as we can. We are also hoping to head into the studio at some point this year to record our first EP.

6) What can people coming to watch you at The Masons Β on Friday 21st February expect from These Hands Of Mine?

People coming to watch us at The Masons can expect a very high energy performance and to hopefully leave wanting more from us. Our top priority is to give our all and to make sure the crowd enjoy their night.
