The Burry Port and Pembrey U3A group meetings in February include the long walk group on Tuesday 1st February, details contact Jill on 834061. Also on Tuesday1st is the film group at 2.15pm showing the film Golden Bowl. Monday 7th is the committee meeting at 10.30am and the computer group at 2.15pm. Wednesday 9th the business, theatre and excursion group coffee morning is at 11am. The gardening group meeting on Monday 14th at 10.30am. Tuesday 15th is craft group at 2.15pm and the short walk group in the afternoon contact Jill as before. The main monthly meeting on Monday 21st at 2.15pm is the AGM. Tuesday 22nd at 10.30am is the local history group on History of Llanelli House and the short walk group in the afternoon contact Jill. Monday 28th drama group meeting is cancelled. There is Welsh every Friday afternoon at 2.15pm.Meetings usually take place in the Memorial Hall annexe, except the walking groups, and new members will be most welcome. Coffee/Bingo Evening

This will be held on Monday 31 January in the Royal British Legion Headquarters. Entrance 40p members and guests. Bingo last books 8.20pm.  A branch secretary is required for the Burry port and Pembrey Royal British Legion, This is a voluntary position which involves 1 or 2 hours per week. Men’s Bowling Club

To allow club members an opportunity to register for the County Bowls Tournaments a players meeting will be held on Monday 7 February at 7pm in the club pavilion. Members who are unable to attend and wish to register should contact the club secretary Mr Byron Wilkins.

Members Required

The Burry Port Male Choir have returned to rehearsals after their Christmas break. Rehearsals are on Monday (except Bank Holidays) and Thursday evenings from 7-8.45pm usually in the Memorial Hall, Parc y Minos Street, Burry Port. If you feel like joining or would just like to see the choir in action if you are a visitor to the area, you are welcome to come along on rehearsal evenings to listen or enquire about membership. New members of any age are always needed to keep this Welsh tradition going. Enquiries about visiting, becoming a member or booking the choir for a wedding, function or charitable event please contact 01554 834371 or 810442. The choir is a registered charity.
